 500 Years of Scottish Print
 A2 PRINT

In 2008, Scotland will be celebrating 500 years since the first book was printed in the country. To celebrate, I created an iconic symbol to mark this grand occasion.

The symbol was later utilised on this A2 print.

12" RECORD SLEEVE

A 12" record sleeve constructed by using a holographic medium to create a dynamic and trasitory colour scheme which echoes the shimmering and ever changing nature of a disco ball. The application of a minimal typographic style which reflects the feel of the track itself.

This project was a collaboration with artist Kurt Smith.

 SELF PROMOTIONAL ITEM

Whilst designing my very own self promotional item, I realised that I wanted to make it clear that I have a firm understanding of the design process, whilst giving the viewer a sneak peek at the unique manor in which my mind works.

The blueprint is accompanied by my curiculum vitae, both of which are mailed in a brown, labelled poster tube.

 I Love Football
 FOOTBALL EMBLEM & STRIP

This project was a collaboration between myself and fellow designer Kurt Smith. We were given the challenge by Dom Wilcox to design a football emblem and strip for a leftfield football side.

We decided to design for the topical 'hoodie'.

Our response encompasses the intimidatary nature of the‘hoodie’, whilst utilising the traditional form of the football strip with subtle twist.

 MTV Ident (Part 1)
 D&AD STUDENT AWARDS

MTV is a virus.

In this motion based project, live fluorescent genetically modified e.coli bacteria are recorded growing in to the form of the MTV logo over a 48 hour period.

This literal but innovative approach, appitimises the dangerous and on the edge ethic of MTV. This project has been featured on the BBC and published in The Sunday Times, full coverage can be found in the press section of this website.

 MTV Ident (Part 2)
 D&AD STUDENT AWARDS

In part two of my MTV work, the viewer is transported to scientific surroundings. A looping, repeated beep then points them in the direction of a mysterious machine.

The footage was recorded in a room used for small radioactive experiments.
